AOTW: Author of the Week
Every Monday I interview and showcase one particular science fiction or fantasy author. This includes at least one book review, usually two; a new release and an old favorite. I ask questions based on their writing styles, schedules, where they get their ideas, and how they choose what to write about and what kind of characters to include. At the end of the interview, I will reveal next week’s books that I will be reviewing and remind everyone which author is up next.
Some big names will be covered, but I’m absolutely looking for less well known authors, those on only their first few books/stories and who may not have as much media coverage. If you or someone you know would like to be the author of the week, you may contact me through the form below. If you have suggestions on authors I should try to contact to set up an interview, feel free to send their information or names on to me as well.

Dear Bonnie,
I may have contacted you a couple of years ago, when I was self-publishing my first book, War on the Margins. It is about the Holocaust playing out in microcosm on the tiny island of Jersey, occupied by Nazi Germany for most of WWII. The Lesbian Surrealist artists Claude Cahun (Lucille Schwob) and Marcel Moore (Suzanne Malherbe) figure prominently as Resistance propagandists. It was picked up by Duckworth in the UK last year, and they are coming out with a paperback in August.
I am in the process of self-publishing my second book, about an ill-fated utopian settlement in colonial Delaware, narrated by the founder’s blind son. It’s based on the short-lived settlement of Pieter Plockhoy in what is now Lewes, and is called Flesh and Grass. The ebook is ready now (I can send a .pdf) and the paperback will be ready in a few weeks.
Please let me know if you would like to receive a copy of either book.
